Passion for Inclusion
Our speaker for the evening is k. Max Simpson – Founder and CEO of the Steps Community. Over the past 15 years Max has set up 3 vocational training centres and modelled 11 inclusive and sustainable social businesses. Max believes that changing narratives around disability is best promoted by demonstrating the sustainability of inclusive businesses.
In 2019, Max was listed as one of the top 50 young leaders shaping the future of Asia and the Steps community was honoured with the International Provision of the Year Award by the
prestigious National Association for Special Educational Needs (UK). Feel free to send over any questions you have for Max, and we’ll pass them on for comment during the evening.

Our featured charity for the evening will be Hands Across the Water, dedicated to saving Thailand’s most vulnerable children from dangerous environments and to giving a home to those who have no family or known relatives to care for them. With your help, these kids don’t have to go hungry, miss out on education, face the challenges of life on their own or be forced into undesirable employment.
